Edition: 1/1

Kolkata is such a happening city and heaven for street and documentery photographers. One can find number of interesting faces throughout the crowded streets and marketplaces of the city. CLOCKMAN is the protrait of a antique clock mechanic working in his little shop. Rather than a portrait, we should call it a candid as this is a real candid moment I was able to capture. The piece attached with his eye, the expression, the pin in his one hand and the clock in the other make the picture a truely storytelling one I believe.

Image specification: 3127 x 4691

Device used: Nikon D500

Shot in Year: 2018

About the Collection: Interesting faces is always an attraction for me. So, clicking portraits, or you can say, capturing candid moments of people on the streets or while travelling is a thing I love so much in photography. This collection "Portraits from the Streets" includes some of my favourite portraits or candids which I captured way back from 2017. Each of them is soul-touching for me and tells several stories of life.

About the Artist: I am a self taught multidiciplinery photographer based out of Agartala, Tripura, India. My keen interest is in Street, Travel & Landscape photography. My works are published in renowned pages like Tripoto Community, Outlook Traveller, BBC Hindi, Incredible India, Street Photography International etc. You can connect me on Instagram @my.wander.tales and see my work there for a wider perspective and understanding.

Portraits from the Streets collection image

Streets are not just by-lanes and quadrangles. A Street is a life in itself - rattling so many stories that it’s almost deafening. Not everyone hears those, not everyone has got an eye for it as well, but those who do, never could get over that. In silences and in bustles, in alleys to skyscrapers, streets are munificently baring themselves out for people like us to unfold their mystery. The more you excavate, the finer it gets. An exploration, trying to capture some of the mysteries that I was offered on the streets I travelled. Capturing people has always been a hobby to me but now as I read their stories, it all makes much more sense. Presenting some of my all time favourite candid photographs for you to explore - "PORTRAITS FROM THE STREETS".
