A 1999 Grand Cru Prestige Cuvée Champagne made from 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay from the Montagne de Reims region of Champagne, France. The 1999 vintage started with hailstorms in May which destroyed many vines and late rains during harvest damaged even more grapes. Even though this vintage was tough, what did survive was perfectly ripe fruit which was used to create only 1000 bottles. In incredible vintage years, this Champagne House ages the wines for a minimum of 20 years with roughly 12 years on lees and an additional 5 to 10 years aging "sur pointe" before disgorgement. This process gives this sparkling wine an amazing complexity and depth with aromas of ripe peach and apricots, a lush, refined bubble and mouthfeel with delicious notes of chalk, white pepper and hints of mint amongst the classic autolysis flavours of fresh brioche and butter.

Sweetness: brut
