A 1985 Premiere Cru Pinot Noir from the Vosne-Romanée area of the Côte de Nuits appellation of Burgundy. This wine was produced by a world-renowned winemaker from a single vineyard that is only 2.5 acres which creates very limited quantities each vintage. This incredibly rare wine is created using very traditional methods as the winemaker believes in the importance of nature and tradition over new technologies and science. A perfect representation of the finest Burgundy, this wine is beautifully brick red moving to garnet in colour and has lovely aromas of game, forest floor, mushrooms and dried cranberry with a hint of cedar. The flavours powerful and have a chalky, slate finish.
