A 2005 Shiraz from the sub-region of Marananga in the Barossa Valley region of Australia. This wine is the first vintage created by this iconic produce from this ideal south-east facing vineyard comprised of the iconic Western Barossa soils and is completely dry grown and hand tended producing incredibly concentrated Shiraz. Once harvested, this wine has spent 3 years in custom french oak barriques that were sourced from trees from the Tronçais forest. These oak barriques are perfect for extended aging and give the wine smooth oak flavours that are harmoniously integrated. This wine is intensely aromatic and has flavours of dark plum, mulberry and blackberry which evolve into notes of baking spices, liquorice and dark chocolate. This wine is powerful but elegant and has the ability to age for many years in bottle.
