STORY OF FARMER: Taken during my trip to Rajasthan in 2016, this photograph captures one of those magical times in life when you learn something so profound that it changes your life. I was on a quest to photograph the Bopas gypsies, famous for their wonderful musical and singing talent. Gypsy clans mostly stay far off from the town and prefer to be near villages. That day, while searching for the Bopas around the Thar desert, we lost our way. After searching for a while, we stopped at a house in the middle of nowhere to ask the host about the Bopas and the region. Out came this humble old man. He greeted us and tried to communicate with us in his broken English. When he saw the camera, he suddenly went inside and came back with an old wooden pitchfork . He pointed at the camera and instructed to take his photograph. He was very proud of his pitchfork which he had inherited from his father and wanted to be photographed with it. This photograph is not a portrait of a man. It is a portrait of strength, wisdom, curiosity, tradition, resilience, kindness, simplicity, warmth and in a way a portrait of life itself. I thought my subject that day would be the Bopas but this moment taught me that the journey is as much the destination as the destination itself.

The best portraits tell a little about the photographer, not just the person you're shooting. I have been in search of the “perfect portrait” for many years. For a portrait photographer this is not easy, it means long hours, days, years even kilometers.
I saw hope, sadness, hardness, intimacy, sincerity, a wisdom on people’s faces but sometimes embarrassment while I was wandering in the streets around the world. In photograph, it is difficult to reflect the essence of what you see, but there is always much more that is felt. I tried to convey many special faces that my path crossed in my photographs. In this collection, I gathered most impressive faces which I came across while I was searching for the perfect portraits.
After each sold photograph, one more will be minted, and the collection will end in 20. Photos are only 1/1
