Chasing my passion is a collection of ten images 1/1 editions all shot in a single storm season. These 10 photos represent some of the most awe-inspiring scenes I witnessed in my 45+ days on the road in 2021.
Every so often you’ll run across a supercell that is just different. It will start like every other, forming from a small cumulus cloud and then progressing into a rotating storm. What’s strange is the cell won’t know when to stop. It will continue to twist and churn far longer than you could ever hope for. It will be sculpted by atmospheric forces beyond all expectation. When this happens, you’ll know, just as I did on this magical day in West Texas.

This collection spans the 2021 chase season. It’s the first of a multiyear body of work that I will be showcasing after each chase season. At a young age I fell in love with severe weather. Up until 2017 the world of storm chasing didn’t seem like something I could do. After one major supercell close to home it became a reality. From then on it was all I could think about. Countless days and nights were spent learning everything I could about it. Each year a large block of my time is dedicated to going out in search of these beastly cells. It’s not just what I do, it’s who I am. I chase my passion.
