部長は、胞子の国の住人に別れを告げ、次の目的地「余白の国」を訪ねることにしました。これまでの旅で得た知識や経験を振り返ると、それぞれの国を支配する文化やしきたり、法則は、部長の想像を遥かに超えるものであり、そのどれもが自由でした。

次の旅先である「余白の国」では、人々のスケジュールは真っ白で、ありとあらゆる内容物も隙間だらけでした。詰め込み過ぎないことが、美徳として扱われているのです。部長は余白の国に到着すると、顔のほとんどが余白でできている「余白鳥」に出会いました。この鳥は、部長に懐いて、彼の旅を見守るようについて回るようになりました。部長は、この鳥と過ごすうちに、余白の大切さや、物事に無理に詰め込むことの無意味さを学びました。

余白の国の人々は、独善的な生き方のアンチテーゼとして、自分たちの生活や考え方を大切にしていました。彼らは、人生において無駄や余力を持つことが、他人との調和や共生につながり、世界と自分をより豊かにすると信じていました。

部長は、余白の国で学んだ教えを胸に、「HOL-E」の痕跡を追い求めるべく、最後の目的地へと向かうのでした。

He bids farewell to the inhabitants of the Land of Spores and decides to visit his next destination, the Land of Margins. Reflecting on the knowledge and experiences he had gained on his journey so far, the cultures, customs, and laws that governed each country were far beyond his imagination, and all of them were free.

In the next destination, the Land of the Margins, people's schedules were blank and every possible content was full of gaps. Not overstuffing is treated as a virtue. When he arrived in the Land of Margins, he met a "marginal bird" whose face was almost entirely made up of margins. This bird took a liking to him and began to follow him around as he traveled. As he spent time with this bird, he learned the importance of margins and the pointlessness of forcing himself into things.

The people of the Land of the Margins valued their lives and ideas as the antithesis of a self-righteous way of life. They believed that having waste and excess in their lives would lead to harmony and coexistence with others, enriching the world and themselves.

With the lessons he learned in the Land of the Margins, he set out on his final destination to pursue the traces of "HOL-E".
