部長は、先端医療の国の住人に別れを告げ、彼らと交流の深い「巨人の国」を訪ねることにしました。部長は「HOL-E」の謎を解明するため、さまざまな国々を渡り歩いて知識を得ることが役立つと信じていました。次の旅先である「巨人の国」では、彼ら特有の長い寿命のせいか、物知りで博学な人々が住んでいました。特に、言い伝えや伝承は非常に興味深く、部長は寝る間も惜しんで聴き続けました。

この国には、ドーナツは流通していないようです。まれに交流のある国から持ち込まれることはあっても、誰も作りたがらない雰囲気でした。部長は、三日三晩もの間、伝承に耳を傾け、3日目の朝にお礼としてドーナツを作りました。巨人たちのために、巨大なドーナツを何個も焼きあげたのです。巨人たちは、部長が作ったドーナツを見て、たいそう喜びました。巨人たちは、ドーナツを味わうと、その美味しさに感動しました。部長は、この機会に彼らにドーナツにまつわる物語や伝統を教えることにしたのです。

滞在から数日が経ち、部長は巨人たちの古い伝承の中に、何となく「HOL-E」と関連しそうな言及を見つけました。それは、遥か昔に存在したとされる謎の存在についての話で、どこか「HOL-E」の特徴と重なる部分があったのです。部長は、この発見が「HOL-E」の謎を解決する鍵になるかもしれないと考え、巨人たちにさらに詳しく聞き込みをしたのでした。

He decided to bid farewell to the inhabitants of the land of advanced medicine and visit the "Land of Giants" where he interacted closely with them. He believed that it would be helpful to travel to different countries to gain knowledge in order to unravel the mysteries of "HOL-E". The next destination, "Land of the Giants," was inhabited by people who were knowledgeable and erudite, perhaps because of their uniquely long lifespan. The lore and folklore were especially interesting, and he spent every waking moment listening to them.

It seems that doughnuts are not distributed in this country. They were rarely brought in from other countries with which they had exchanges, but no one seemed to want to make them. He listened to the lore for three days and three nights, and on the morning of the third day, he made doughnuts as a thank-you. He baked several giant doughnuts for the giants. The giants were delighted to see the doughnuts he had made. When they tasted the doughnuts, they were impressed by their deliciousness.
