テレビが映し出す自分自身の姿が、無限遠に収束していくのを眺めていた翌日。テレビはどんどん熱を帯びていました。画面は不穏なノイズと光の点滅を発し続け、スピーカーからは不協和音が流れています。
テレビが壊れてしまったのは、もう誰の目にも明らかでした。もちろん意図的に壊したわけではないのですが、テレビが選んだ進化の過程の中で、自ら「破壊」を選んでしまったというのが正しい表現なのかもしれません。
退化が進化の選択肢の一つであるように、破壊もまた創造の１つなのだと、部長は考えていました。「破壊から生まれる秩序を、この目で一度見てみたい」部長の願いは、純粋でした。
