非誕生日プレゼントを渡した翌日。部長の元には、ある知らせがやってきました。その知らせとは「部長の人事異動」です。これまでの部署から、別の部署へと異動になる旨の知らせに、部長は大変驚きました。その知らせがメールでも電話でもなく「カエル」によってもたらされたことに、部長はさらに驚きました。
「いつから、うちの会社はカエルと契約を結んだんだろう…」
カエルの従者によって知らされた内容は２つです。一つは、新たに別の部署の部長へと異動が決まったこと。そしてもう一つは、部長の異動を記念するパーティが開催されるということ。新しい部署の話については、部長はまだ何も知らされていません。招待状の差し出し人には「狐」と書かれていました。
