この日の部長の手には、謎のアンプルが握られています。アンプルの中は、緑色の液体で満たされており、奇妙な泡がコポコポと湧き立っています。「変化」について思考をするうえで、部長の頭の中には、かつて自分の体を透明に変えた「X-Potion」が浮かんできました。このアンプルの中の液体を摂取すると、一体どんな変化が起こるのか、もしくは何も変化が起こらないのか…とても気になっていました。

因果関係を整理した部長の頭は今、とてもスッキリとしています。「現在手にしている薬を飲むという行為と、体に生じる変化の因果関係は、必ずしも「飲む」ことが先で「変化」が後ではないだろう」と。鏡の国に迷い込んだアリスが、「ケーキを切り分けてから、配る」のではなく、「まず配る、それから切り分ける」と聞いて困惑したように。因果関係とは時に、人を混乱させるものです。
