Riftwalkers have a reputation for being cunning and elusive. And, while many do not believt eh Riftwalkers are actually alchemists, the Riftwalkers themselves do nothing to discourage their similarities with alchemists, including brandishing the very best of weapons. Cyra Rael was first seen, brandishing The Ageless Blade when she stopped two Moors thieves from raiding the Hall of the Gorgon in the now-desolate Dire Barrens. The ladies of the Moors Clan are known to be fierce, deadly and shadowy. But they were quickly dispatched by the blade of Cyra Rael as they attempted to steal one of the remaining crown jewels from the central statue of the Gorgon. In their report after their defeat, the ladies oft the Moors Clan said they had never faced a foe so deft in combat. "It was as if she knew our every move before we thought to make it, like she had prepared for the battle her whole life. She knew where we would be, how we would fight, and what our entrance and exit points were -in spite of the fact that we had moved in shadow for three days and chosen a midnight operation with no light of the moon." As to the nature, origin, and seemingly-magical qualities of their opponent's blade, which she had introduces as The Ageless Blade, the ladies from the Moors could hardly speculate. They were only sure of one thing: it was as though Cyra Rael had been born to wield it - like the blade was an extension of her very will and might. "We stand alive before you, Lady Prime, only because of this one thing," the would-be thieves reported to the head of their clan, "Cyra Rael left us alive so we could send you a message. She says, Stop your assault against the book. The Book belongs to the Riftwalkers. Stand down. Or die."
