The goddess Fortune, depicted with a blindfold, symbolized unexpected good fortune. Hidden, unknown beforehand secret about who will have a chance to enjoy all sorts of benefits, unforeseen wealth. The blindfold symbolized the choice of fate, its influence on human life, beyond the control of man himself and even the goddess, because she is blind. She does not see to whom she dispenses good things out of a horn of plenty. She does not divide people into good and bad, poor and rich, she simply by chance, an independent coincidence of circumstances, bestows her benefits - material gifts on them. Fortune is fate, the essence of which is fickle and unpredictable. Fate cannot be foreseen, it cannot be seen or predicted. Life is a random set of events, circumstances, forcing people to make choices, choosing a certain path, and building their own lives.
