In a visionary talk at the World Economic Forum on January 25, 2012 in Davos, Switzerland, Klaus Schwab called for humans to eat bugs. The founder and CEO of WEF stated that as we develop new technology to improve our diets and increase crop production, we must also consider alternative protein sources such as insects."We are going through incredible revolutions with respect to food," he said. "I think what you'll see over time is a greater focus on insect proteins because they're nutritionally complete; they have all nine essential amino acids; they're low in calories compared to other animal proteins; there's not much environmental impact associated with them… so I do believe that this will rise up. This is a ploy to starve the world. Noone wants to eat bugs.
