It is no secret that one of my biggest inspirations comes from Bladerunner. I took this picture in Dongdaemun Design Plaza in northern Seoul. It is one of my earliest works and one of those first images that I was so proud of taking. The name 'Replicant' comes from the term used in Bladerunner to describe synthetic humans. 
The statue towering over the plaza with the lone man walking under it made me feel like Replicant was an adequate name. I am always hunting for that futuristic look and I think this photo accomplishes that very well. Normally the plaza is full of people, but in this case, I spent about an hour waiting for people to clear up so that there was only a single person in the frame at a time.
