Standing in my bathroom recently, it occurred to me how ritualistic the act of cleansing has become in recent times, as a result of the Covid19 pandemic. For many, washing our hands has always been an important part of everyday life... far before Covid19, some have developed a toxic relationship with hand-washing - the act becoming a symbol of control that can't be found elsewhere in life. It's an act that is so simple, but has so many meanings to so many.
