"Like a hairy miniature man
With a long tail as exception,
They hold things on hand
Sit upright on their spinal cord
Piercing canines they always show
To scare every man that try to near,
But if you show kindness to them
They respect you the most."
Varsha M. used exactly the right adjectives to describe these intriguing creatures that I photographed during my last family trip since the COVID-19 pandemic. We drove all the way to Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan, during Diwali in the November of 2018. On the way to Ranthambore fort, we came across a very big troop of Hanuman langurs, having almost 40-50 individuals, every individual so unique and busy in their own tasks. I loved photographing them, they looked so fierce, were yet so gentle.

‘La nature en monochrome’ is a collection of 9 1/1 dramatic BnW wildlife photographs that I’ve captured during my last 4 years interning and volunteering at various institutes dedicated to conservation biology and research in India.
It is extremely crucial to understand the necessity of wildlife conservation before our community runs out of time, as each species plays a very vital role to maintain the ecological balance on Earth. One of the many means to stimulate people’s senses towards conservation biology is through combining both the visual and the psychological elements, which can be achieved through wildlife photography.
With each passing year, with each new destination, with each new photograph I took, I became more and more resolved to make humans conscious towards conservation biology through my photography, where, each and every species is equally represented.
I would be delighted to provide physical frames to all the first collectors who would love to have them.
