Sigwa is the child of Amihan and Habagat. Born of a forbidden union, Sigwa is cursed with the ability to summon devastating typhoons simply by speaking. When she was a child, the first word that Sigwa uttered caused the destruction of countless towns and led to the deaths of thousands - including her own mother, Amihan. As a consequence, Sigwa’s tongue was cut out to prevent her from ever speaking another word.

Upon the discovery of her curse, Sigwa was prophesied to be the cursed child who would kill all of the gods in Kaluwalhatian and bring about the complete destruction os Sansinukob. Fearing for his daughters life, Habagat absconded from Kaluwalhatian with Sigwa to protect her from the wrath of his fellow gods. The other deities scoured the cosmos for the location of the traitorous father and the cursed child for several mortal generations - to no avail. For there are rumors that Habagat hid Sigwa in the sole place that even Bathala cannot reach - the Lost City of Biringan.

Sigwa was created in the Basilica by fusing Habagat and Amihan.
