Markupo is a giant serpent from Hiligaynon folklore. Dwelling in the highest mountaintops of the province of Bulgas, the true nature of this majestic but terrifying creature remains an enigma to mortals. It sings a beautiful and hypnotic song, but its breath is a poison that is lethal to all humans, animals, and plant life. It is said that any beast touched by the shadow of the Markupo will instantly die.
