Tiyanak are infant-like creatures that eat human flesh. They are said to be the reanimated souls of aborted children that have returned to the mortal realm to seek revenge. Most Tiyanak are said to live in forests. Upon seeing a human, they transform into what looks like a normal, helpless baby in order to attract their prey.
