Title: Rest
Artist: Steph Rapo
Edition: 1/1
“Rolling Perspectives” is a collection of 9 images that individually, and as a whole, has encouraged me to listen to my inner truth and embrace the rewards that come with lessons.
About the piece: I've always found it easy to wake with sun. It rises every single day, and each time we are given some sort of beautiful show with its rays creating color and texture, even when hiding behind clouds. It was so cold this morning but in the moments of easy breath with the drone hovering over the icy tree tops, I felt warm. The tips of the trees sparkled and the final snow flurries fell from the sky like diamonds.
The past year has provided a lot of opportunities to do some introspective work with myself. I found a lot of answers behind the lens.
Consisting of 9 1/1 images, this gallery serves as a reminder that we have power over our perspective. Like the Berkshire peaks and valleys, our lives consist of moments where we are up and moments we are down. We cannot have one without the other; we should always be searching for the lessons both positions can offer.
I'm learning to see what I didn’t see before; to open my mind to new ways of thought and new methods of navigating life. I'm excited to put more effort and attention into what serves my heart, this gallery is just the beginning.
