The pendant of laminated glass this is based on (named "Blue Flame"), is made up of 9 layers of glass, three of which are coloured, handblown glass. The pendant is one of those that "get born" already with a name given to them - not all do, see "Movie Star". The cuts that are covered with 24 kt. gold leaf were made into the first layers of colourless glass after the coloured layers.
