Petrichor, the smell of rain. Unfortunately, Korea doesn't experience all that many rainy evenings throughout the year, certainly not compared to my home country of England. This is why I have to make the most of every rainy evening that happens, because once it does rain the city streets transform. This scene was taken in a heavy downpour during fall, to have rain this heavy outside of the monsoon season of summer is irregular. This particular shot is one I have loved for a long time, to see the happy faces inside the restaurant and the two men outside braving the conditions, there's a lot of story in this shot, and the vivid colours are amplified by the heavy rains completing the scene for me.
