This whole collection portrays one of the reasons why I love creating and making art. The possibilities are endless and the feeling after creation is gratifying. From a Work In Progress shot to a collection of 6 images. Sometimes we’re so blinded by our strive for perfection, or what we perceive as perfection, that we don’t see the beauty right before us. We’re so used to being in control of every step we take whilst creating or making a piece of art that sometimes, even when we have made great art, we don’t see it cause it’s not what we envisioned, we’ve not gotten to “our goal”. I was like that too, but the creation process of this collection opened my eye to a whole new perspective of making art. The way I graduated from a failed project to a collection of 6 images and my discovery of abstract portrait photography will forever be bewildering to me. All of that happened because I “went with flow”, I wasn’t caged by specificity. I believe this is what makes art powerful, the absolute freedom to do, to make, to create in a precise or an erratic manner.
