Leonardo da Vinci was born into a family of vintners in a small village close to Florence, Tuscany. He grew up loving wine, considering it the perfect marriage between functionality and beauty.

Thanks to Ludovico il Moro, he realizes his dream of managing his very own vineyard once he moves to Milan. Needless to say, his ingenuity and natural disposition towards viticulture made him the very first winemaker to produce a technical sheet to use for the production of impeccable quality wine. It was 1515.
