A decisive moment of light and shadow while pedaling down the California coast in Big Sur. Captured October 4, 2019, using a Fujifilm X100F digital camera.
“Ride Metal” is a collection of black & white photographs exploring the essence of handmade bicycles built by John Caletti. This project is the intersection of my love for cycling and photography.
This collection is dedicated to and inspired by my good friend and master bicycle frame builder John Caletti. "Ride Metal" originated as a smaller set of prints for an invitational photo show in 2019. Each photo in this series reveals a piece of the Caletti Cycles soul. The images range in content from fabrication to adventuring on John’s completed bicycles.
All images are 1/1. The capture dates range from 2016 to 2021.
