The famous Shanghai-born screenwriter Eileen Chang visited Hong Kong during 1950s. She met her dear friend Mr. Soong Chi, who lived in Kai Yuen Street, Feiloon Terrace. Many articles said that Eileen Chang once lived in Kai Yuen Street. However, it was purely a misunderstanding because Eileen was actually visited The Soosng’s home at Kai Yuen Street very often for movie script discussions.
This battle-ship like building was located next to Feiloon Terrace and demolished in May 2021. The architectural structure was able to withstand the winds and storms over the 60 years but had to kneel down in front of the social and economic developments. Can we leave another piece of gems like this for our next generation after 60 years?
Chocolate Rain is a Hong Kong design brand founded in 2000. Chocolate Rain design is inspired by childhood dreams and wonderland adventure. Each piece is unique and handcrafted with mix medium and special artistic elements. Prudence is the founder and designer and graduated in Fine Art. In 2008, Prudence was granted the Design Smart scholarship to Central Saint Martin’ s London for MA Degree in Design Studies. Prudence received the 2010 Ten Outstanding Designers Award and is honored as one of Hong Kong’ s Ten Outstanding Young Persons in 2012 and Young Women Innovator Award 2013 by APEC. She is Executive Committee members of the Hong Kong Designers Association from 2004 to 2016.
