Summers in the Alpine is a collection of photos taken at various alpine lakes in Washington state.

Alpine lakes are formed by glaciers moving, eroding away at the soil, and glacial run off filling in the space it left behind. I love this image because you can see those forces still at work on the mountain wall. The snow melt run off is flowing down paths that were created from years past, and constantly changing the landscape.
