The DM series by artist Antoine Donzeaud is a body of spray paintings on tarp, born from a sense of urgency to express one thought or feeling in a single impulse. The artist focuses his exploration on the gesture and movement. The choice of a single color turns these strokes into signs and messages that borrow from the vocabulary and means of expression found on social media.

This series was exhibited for the first time in 2018 for the show Losing interest at Galerie Valentin in Paris. In 2022, XX works from this series are minted as a NFT collection on the Ethereum blockchain. The works are scanned in high definition and all of the background is erased, leaving only a blue spray stroke of paint on a transparent background. These matrixes can simply exist as is or can be layered on top of other images to create an ongoing collection of open-source material powered by the community.
