This is a high-resolution street elevation drawing of the most famous historic alley in Korea, located in the Block 31 of Bukchon, Seoul. Anyone visiting Korea would never fail to walk along this alley, where a number of hanoks, traditional Korean houses, line up on both sides. Doojin Hwang Architects(DJHA) started to work on hanoks in and around this alley from 2004; two of our projects, Mumuheon (http://djharch.com/home/project/mumuheon/) and Ssanghuijae (http://djharch.com/home/project/ssanghuijae/) are in this drawing.

*The size of this drawing is 18MB in a jpg format; a 2.4m long print will be in 1/50 scale, while a 1.2m print will be in 1/100 scale.

DJHA carries out various projects. We have always challenged new tasks such as highly complex mixed-use typology, bridge cafes on the Han River with design provisions to fight with floods, rental offices for the highly competitive real estate market and old hanoks in the heart of Seoul. Among those we are happy to present to you a series of drawings of the hanok projects as our very first NFT collection.
