LYRIC: BOOMHIGHTECH ALITTLEBITWRECK

Words as worth. Lyrics from the Shinjuku Zulu and K.I.A. song repertoire as exclusive NFTs, acquiring their own poetic value and inherent meaning separate from the music. Each NFT is comprised of the animated lyric gif for virtual use accompanied by a one-of-a-kind t-shirt in the same cryptocurrency font for IRL. The digital with the physical.

After the Collector acquires the lyric asset they will be sent a silkscreened and uniquely sewn t-shirt of their lyrics. See this image of boomhightech alittlebitwreck (size L black t-shirt) . The unlockable content reveals a code that can be emailed which will allow the collector to choose size S/M/L/XL and tee-shirt color B/W. The t-shirts are made of 100% ringspun super soft cotton, crew-neck and pre-shrunk (fitted, so order up one size).

If the lyric is an edition, each shirt will still be completely one-of-a-kind due to being hand-placed and uniquely sewn. A certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist, will come with the NFT. (The t-shirt will be packaged in clear tubing allowing presentation.)

Only 11 of boomhightech alittlebitwreck will ever be released.

LYRIC STORY: The lyric “boom high tech, a little bit wreck” is a phrase taken from the song Shanghai Masai by Shinjuku Zulu. The words reflect my approach to art — a mix of the digital and analog realms, a love for technology and the future, but also keeping the human and the hand-made, the funk in the machine.

The phrase, as "Boomhitech Alittlebitwreck” was also used as the two-word title for a hybrid album release, the cover of which continued the digital/handmade approach, featured an artwork made from hundreds of discrete units (basically, paper pixels) painted, cut and remixed by hand.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
The eclectic and cross-continental approach to the music reflects the artist’s life — he’s lived in Japan, the US, and Canada and traveled from Paris to Kathmandu. K.I.A. is also a visual artist, and makes music sculpturally — notice the changing spatial elements in the songs — and composes his artworks using musical production techniques (looping, glitching, rhythmic patterns, remixing).
