The Dark Angels’ role in combat is vague, and insubordinate at best. The model was created to think independently and operate outside of all other combat operations. Most often a Dark Angel acts alone, but coordinated attacks have been recorded with a 100% success rate. They earned the name for coincidentally showing up to save grunts in the nick of time - and because that also results in the merciless termination of enemy personnel.
