SIX N. FIVE Six N. Five is the creative studio by Ezequiel Pini, an award-winning Argentinian designer and artist based in Barcelona. Over the last decade, Pini has pioneered the use of 3D to create imaginary, dreamlike worlds in his signature clean and modern aesthetic. His work incorporates different mediums to explore imaginary spaces, moving stories and physical collectibles. His extensive experience working with esteemed brands and creators, makes him one of the most recognized digital artists at the moment. His work includes several exhibitions in physical and digital, and the recent creation of all Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft Surface wallpaper design, as one of the most important collaborations launched the last year with this brand. His refined imagination, poetic compositions, avant-garde mind, and elegant skills make Six N. Five stand out for its uniqueness and purity of results.
This was my inspiration when I shared my idea with Jorge: «This composition can have different meanings depending on the eyes that judge it. It can be perfect and balanced, thus achieving a balance or equilibrium for many of us. It can be narrow, upright, and even fragile for those who are more conservative. It can also be unreal and fanciful, with rational and literal eyes. This subjectivity speaks a lot about what “redefining male identity” means to me. » Then Jorge answered back with these beautiful words about what he saw: «I think we come up with a very impressive proposal that perfectly justifies the claim of the event. Identity is a subjective construct, based on pieces of physical reality and is always interpretable. Fragile and solid at the same time. Reformulable, variable, changeable or eternal. Also, if you allow me, it takes me back to the origin of bodily expression in the representations of female bodies in stone. It is as if we were before the primitive dawn of a new masculine identity.»
We live in an era in which our conscience defines who we are. Furthermore, the digital dimension promises to open up metaverses and multiverses in which, thanks to pixels and 3D, we can reinvent ourselves. In this new dimension, what are the definitions of art, culture, gender, of our relationship with the planet, beauty, love, values? This is where “Who are we? Redefining our identities” starts from. Four International editions of Esquire - Italy, United States, Germany, Spain - have asked to four global artists - DotPigeon, CB Hoyo, Pascal Möhlmann and Six N. Five - to create artworks from which covers have been made. These Esquire covers are the NFTs that compose this impressive collection. All the proceeds from the sale of the four covers, costs deducted, will be donated to Red Cross and Save The Children to support the distressed people of Ukraine.
