Echoes from the creator of the simulation

A self-portrait embedded in a quantum simulation of the early universe. Generated by quantum neural networks & run on a real quantum computer.

What if we lived in a simulation? Would there be a creator? If so, would they leave us hints, such as imprinting their own image onto the large-scale structure of the universe? If that were the case, they would simply need to slightly bias the tiny quantum field fluctuations appearing right after the Big Bang, as these are then the seed for the large-scale structure of the post-inflationary universe.

This piece is my attempt at enacting precisely this scenario, i.e., uploading myself into a simulated baby multiverse of my creation. It features a sampled universe from a simulation of the early multiverse quantum field fluctuations, generated by quantum-neural-networks whose outputs were sampled on an IBM quantum computer.

This simulation is a derivative of my previous work, Everettian Vibrations, the first-ever quantum AI NFT. To the best of my knowledge, this new piece is the first quantum-AI-generated self-portrait NFT.
