Goddess of Spring #016, painted in Leonid Afremov’s art style.
Afremov (1955-2019) was one of the most famous contemporary impressionist painters with a striking, colourful art style that anyone can recognize. He worked with mainly oil paints and a palette knife.
His paintings all featured a characteristic explosion of colour that I’ve always admired so I absolutely wanted to pay tribute to him.
A notable aspect of his artistic career was that he was self-represented. Rather than exhibiting his paintings at art galleries, he promoted and made his sales through his website and social media.
“True art is alive and inspired by humanity. I believe that art helps us to be free from aggression and depression.” — Leonid Afremov
