#26 - RESTING GIANT
The sea arch at Gatklettur, with its imposing basaltic structure, is a favorite location of mine. Over the years, I photographed it many times, from many angles and under different weather. Since I go to Iceland in winter, only once I could manage to walk down to the shore; on the particular day when I did, the light at sunset was warm and peaceful. The arch looked like a giant, finally able to rest.

ABOUT VOICES OF THE OCEAN
All my life, I felt a profound affinity with the sea. I always have been amazed by the magical way the ocean lives and breathes, by its powers and endless energy. The ocean feels to me like a living creature, benevolent and terrible at the same time, constantly at work shaping the landscape.
