Title: The New Fame
Artist: Brendan North
Edition: 1/1
These digital masks we wear provide us protection and help us maintain this facade of perfection.
But to be truly anonymous is to be able to speak true. In the darkness you may just find the real you.
In a world where judgement is quickly passed on your name to be free is to be nobody; No fame is the new fame.
"Burning Thoughts" is the debut poetry collection from Brendan North. Think of this as a book, deconstructed into individual pieces and collectively owned by an exclusive community. This collection of poems was created very much in the spirit of NFTs. Every piece is completely unique. Hand typed on a 1933 typewriter, torn, stained with coffee, and burned in the real world; the physical pieces no longer exist. All that is left is the digital presence of these words. Each poem corresponds to a photograph in Brendan's "Painted Poetry" collection.
