Title: Addicted
Artist: Brendan North
Edition: 1/1
I breathe you in deeply, your toxic air. Each cigarette, a deadly affair. The taste of your smoke, it gets me high. You tell me another poisonous lie. We’re bad for each other, you’re addicted too. I inhale your demons, just can’t quit you.
"Burning Thoughts" is the debut poetry collection from Brendan North. Think of this as a book, deconstructed into individual pieces and collectively owned by an exclusive community. This collection of poems was created very much in the spirit of NFTs. Every piece is completely unique. Hand typed on a 1933 typewriter, torn, stained with coffee, and burned in the real world; the physical pieces no longer exist. All that is left is the digital presence of these words. Each poem corresponds to a photograph in Brendan's "Painted Poetry" collection.
