The Cosmic Question mark, in constellation Cepheus, contains the following objects: at top, Cederblad 214 (Ced 214) surrounded by NGC 7822, and at bottom, a dot like nebula known as Sharpless 170 (Sh2 170). The image spans over five degrees and about 40 light-years vertically, with a distance of ~2750 light-years from J-P's observatory.

The photograph has been featured by National Geographic.
