Light is the foundation of every image, giving shape and form to each scene I capture. Since I started my journey as a photographer in 2013, I have always been mesmerised by the golden light of sunrises and sunsets. Chasing the light and playing with the shadows have guided my path over the years.
This image is part of "The Shades of Paris" photo collection that embraces my passion for light & shadow and consists of photographs taken all around the city from 2014 to 2021. 8 years of wandering in the streets, watching the weather forecast, studying the position of the sun throughout the year, waking up early and waiting to capture that one decisive moment.

"The Shades of Paris" is an ongoing photo series that consists of decisive moments captured in the city of Paris. This collection is the result of 8 years of photography and has been carefully curated around one key element in each photograph, a prominent long shadow.
During my journey as a photographer, I have always been attracted by the golden hour light and playing with the long shadows has become my favorite way to document the city life through my lens. It requires a good timing and a lot of patience to wait for the perfect subject. Getting to know the monuments and streets of Paris while studying the position of the sun throughout the year were the key to make these moments happen.
The first release includes a collection of 30 images. All images are 1/1.
