Lake Tekapo, one of Nz greatest wonders. A lakes so blue it would win in a competition with the sky. Nestled in Otago, the lake is 82km2 and surrounded by mountains. A weekend getaway saw a drive from Queenstown 3 hours to lake Tekapo in my campervan. An afternoon spent by the lake and then a little time sussing out a location to set up my camera. The anticipation of a sunset is the craziest thing. It’s never what you expect and sometimes it’s exceeds those expectations but either way I’m always in love because you can’t tame nature and you don’t control the earth. One thing is certain, the sun will set and the sun will rise but you’ll never know what will happen in between and in the final moments of the sun leaving us and the moon rising magic happens. The earth paints the sky with colours to bring joy to anyone that whiteness. That’s what happened here. You can have an idealistic view of what makes a good sunset or sunrise but In my eyes they are all the best
