On the night of May 15 to 16, 2022 an incredible celestial transformation occurred. A lunar eclipse known as the Super Flower Blood Moon illuminated a blood red color as the earth slowly cast its shadow across the moon's surface. The red tone is a result of a culmination of the color of all the sunrises and sunsets around the world. Some of the sun's light bends around the earth and through the atmosphere allowing mostly longer red and orange wavelengths to reflect off the lunar surface. Not only a beautiful sight to see but an amazing event to experience!
