Story behind the photo: First new born of the season. Almost all the Teddycows have a brownish red fur colour so I expected that the first new born I would see this season would be one with that colour. That morning I witnessed the first new born I was so surprised it was one with a black fur colour. Only a handful of Teddycows in my area are black so this was special. While Mommie was busy eating to feed her new born, the little one was curiously observing me. I was very careful, because the mothers can be very protective when they have a new born, which is good I think. In a few past years I had to run a few times because of an angry mother. And believe me, these Teddycows look sluggish but can run very fast! That’s why I’m always on my guard. This morning I was lucky that the mother was too busy with eating, so that gave me the perfect chance to take my first new born photos of the season!
The Cow Collective is a collection of 10 1/1’s NFT's dedicated to Teddycows. The reason Nick choose to combine his first steps into the NFT's with this collection is because they've played an important role in his career as a photographer.
Nowadays Nick is well known for his intimate animal portraits and photos of dreamy settings in nature. His main focus is on showing people magical expressions of wildlife. He hopes that he can inspire people to go out and explore and experience the same magical moments in nature like he does.
