There is a saying in my country called crossing the bridge. It means crossing the threshold. When I stopped at this point, it was as if I had this feeling. You know, at a point in the stories where the heroes make a choice, Alice follows the white rabbit, Frodo leaves Shire, etc. etc. if you cross the bridge, you can cross into fairyland, maybe you can too... at least you can imagine it. when you look at the photo...

I have always lived with the feeling of monachopsis since my childhood. For years, I hit the roads with the thought that I would discover myself, my true self, in one of the other lands. Thus, at every opportunity, I found myself in search of a moment in desolate, remote countries.
Just seeing a place was not enough for me, I had to watch it at its best. Then I thought I should reflect on them as well, so I started to capture the moments with photographs. I also started to add something from me to these photos. Sometimes a light, sometimes a color. I had to reinforce the feeling that those moments belonged to me. When I look back at these photos, I remember the connection between that place and myself, I see a part of me and us in those frames.
As Antonio Tabucchi once said; A place is never just "that place". because “that place” is a part of us.
This collection is the result of my wish to share this feeling and these captures with people.
