I have 100's of images from this spot in British Columbia. Everyday the lake changes with the freezing temps and the shoreline never looks the same twice. I have photographed here so much and in the same spot, but different conditions. This morning was VERY cold and the usually smooth ice was developing a layer of frost giving it a unique crispy look as I like to call it.

SOLD OUT Winter is one of my ABSOLUTE favourite seasons to photograph in. It's challenging, unique, often has moody weather and the icy foregrounds are magical. Growing up in the North we have no choice but to face the cold conditions which I think makes these images even more special. They are not easy to get and the weather can change on you drastically. I love the natural blues that paint the landscape from the ice. It pairs well with the warmth of a firey sunset or sunrise.
Landscape photography has been my staple through my photographic journey. It is the background to my self-portrait work and where I have grown the most as a photographer.
I hope you enjoy these chilly shots just as much as I enjoy creating them.
