Threads is a generative art project experimenting with a concept of survival on a limited 2D grid navigational space. The threads populating the grid survive by continuously extending themselves and turning until they get blocked. The over-arching rule allows a thread to cross but never merge or cross ends with any thread, including itself. The competition on grid-space becomes fiercer as more threads pop into the scene. Sometimes, they all gravitate towards - or away from – a certain location on the grid, which adds drama to the final scene. The scene associated with a unique SHA256 embodying the origins of its underlying story, leaving the human interpretation to the viewer.
