A portrait of an original character I've been drawing for a few years.
Her name is Savannah and her story is the epitome of a "coming to age" tragedy. The idea was to create a character with an extreme focus on a small part of my own personality. Her story is essentially a creative way of handling how my innocence was taken from me- discovering that the world is not the rainbows and sunshine my imagination liked to pretend it was.
I love painting her in bright spaces with gentle lighting though, but this piece was my favorite.
This is the personal collection of Savvy, from 1/1 pieces of digital art to photography sets.
I have been an artist all my life, from the time I could hold a pencil to the ripe age of 30. Though I may be a creative soul, I do have a Biology degree and enjoy mixing science and art whenever I can, because I have always believed they go hand in hand.
In 2018, I developed a unique but cataclysmic allergy that completely changed the course of my life. I had aspirations of marine Biology for continuing my education path however I was diagnosed with Solar Urticaria. Many food and pollen allergies started after that, which isn't how allergies typically work and since then, I have been a medical mystery.
Over the years, I have tried to control my medical debt, but thanks to America being land of the hospital debts, I have been unsuccessful.
I have another freak accident to share that also shaped my life's path but it is for another time ;)
