Follow Me Across the Snow

This piece is from January 17, 2015. I took this image during a winter hike around Glen Lake near Fair Haven, Vermont. I had fallen behind my husband and friends because I was taking pictures, as usual. As they got further and further ahead of me, I was caught by the leading lines of their footprints in the snow layered on top of the frozen lake. I paused to capture the moment, causing me to fall even further behind my hiking crew.
