An “Abstract state of Mind” came about in the throes of the pandemic when I immersed myself in photography and nature to tune out the noise of the day to day stress. There were many days where I wanted nothing more than to escape reality. I soon discovered a love for the finer details and discovered that normal mundane objects can be enjoyed in a new light if photographed in a nonliteral way. Experimenting with abstracts became my joy in life and unlocked a new playfulness I thought I'd lost by creating new stories for each subject.

When spending time with these images, let your imagination run away with you. Get in touch with your inner 6 year old self. I also invite you to examine the images before reading the titles.
