It's not often I publish landscapes with a mostly clear sky, but Crater Lake in Oregon is one of those stunningly beautiful locations, especially blanketed by a layer of snow, where a clear sky helps to accentuate the beauty of the landscape. I loved the way the little wispy clouds were in the perfect place around the sun reflecting in the lake. And just as the sun dipped behind the ridge, the snow I was standing on was illuminated in brilliant orange tones.
This collection features photographs by Arwin Levinson that capture that moment when sun is just above the horizon and the sky and landscape light up with a brilliant light.
